Despite any career title, publication, or award, I am unapologetically rooted in who I am. Who am I? Well, that depends on who you ask....but first, I am a brother, an uncle, a friend, a son, and a mentor. These roles — the ones that don’t come with accolades or applause — are the ones, that not only define me, but have made me the man I am today. In the end, it’s not your resume that tells the truth. It’s how you show up when no one’s watching, give it your all when you feel like you've got nothing left to give, and being ridiculous enough to believe in yourself when no one else around you can.

 

I started Valentis because no one was willing to take the kind of chance on me that I was willing to take on myself. I knew I was doing something right when the rest of the world called me crazy for taking such a bold leap. I've been called worse by better people anyhow. My resume may not have opened all the doors —but my discipline, my integrity, and my refusal to wait for permission did.

 

This company was built from persistence. From vision. And from a belief that your work ethic will take you further than any bullet point or Linkedln headline ever could. After all, God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.
